Concierge Medicine

  • Concierge medicine rates vary depending on your location, the physician, and the level of care and services included.

  • Membership fees are not covered by insurance. Insurance can still be used for labs, imaging, prescriptions, and referrals.

  • Concierge medicine offers longer visits, faster scheduling, and direct physician access. Patients also benefit from a stronger focus on prevention and wellness.

  • There are very few disadvantages to receiving concierge medicine. Concierge medicine allows you to receive more thorough care, have more one-on-one time with your doctor, and have direct access to your physician.

  • Concierge physicians generally care for 300–600 patients. Traditional doctors may manage 2,000 or more, which limits their availability.

  • Choose a physician with experience related to your health concerns. It is also crucial that you feel comfortable with and supported by your doctor.

  • Concierge doctors manage a smaller number of patients, usually a few hundred instead of several thousand. This allows them to provide more time and attention at each visit.

  • Families benefit from faster access and coordinated care across multiple members. Many find the personalized attention worth the expense.

  • It allows for more frequent monitoring and personalized treatment plans. Patients with conditions like diabetes or hypertension often see better long-term outcomes.

  • Most concierge doctors accept Medicare for covered services, but the membership fee is separate. Medicaid coverage is rare and should be confirmed directly.

  • Concierge physicians generally care for 300–600 patients. Traditional doctors may manage 2,000 or more, which limits their availability.

Longevity

  • Longevity-focused concierge medicine is a personalized approach to healthcare that prioritizes prevention, optimization, and long-term wellness rather than just treating illness. It combines the accessibility and individualized attention of concierge medicine with advanced diagnostics, wellness planning, and evidence-based strategies aimed at extending both lifespan and healthspan.

  • Concierge medicine promotes longevity by emphasizing prevention, early detection, and lifestyle optimization. Because physicians in concierge practices care for fewer patients, they can dedicate more time to each individual, performing in-depth evaluations, analyzing risk factors, and crafting tailored health strategies. This proactive model helps identify potential health concerns before they progress.

  • A longevity program often includes genetic testing, cardiovascular and metabolic panels, hormone assessments, inflammation markers, microbiome analysis, and full-body imaging when indicated. Many programs also use cutting-edge tools like biological age testing or epigenetic profiling to assess how your body is aging internally, allowing your physician to customize a plan to optimize your specific biomarkers.

  • Traditional primary care focuses mainly on diagnosing and treating illnesses as they arise, often within time-limited appointments. A longevity plan, by contrast, is proactive, data-driven, and deeply personalized. Concierge physicians act as long-term partners in health, addressing the root causes of disease and guiding patients toward peak physical and cognitive performance over time.

  • While aging itself cannot be stopped, concierge medicine can help slow its effects by optimizing the body’s natural functions and minimizing disease risks. Regular testing and early interventions help preserve organ function, mobility, and mental clarity, supporting a more youthful biological age compared to one’s chronological age.

  • Genetics establish your baseline risk for certain conditions, but lifestyle choices largely determine how those genes are expressed. Longevity-focused concierge medicine combines genetic insights with personalized lifestyle guidance to help “turn off” disease-promoting genes and enhance protective ones.

  • The frequency of visits depends on your specific goals and health needs, but most longevity programs include regular in-person or virtual check-ins throughout the year. Patients typically have an annual comprehensive evaluation followed by quarterly or biannual follow-ups to review lab results, monitor progress, and make adjustments to their personalized plan.

  • Supplements and hormone therapies may be included when clinically appropriate and based on lab results. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, concierge physicians tailor these interventions to support optimal function and correct imbalances.

  • With access to comprehensive testing, personalized risk assessments, and extended appointments, physicians can identify early warning signs of disease long before symptoms appear. Patients benefit from proactive lifestyle modifications, targeted therapies, or specialist referrals that reduce the likelihood of serious conditions developing.

  • Longevity-focused concierge medicine is especially suited for individuals who want to stay active and independent as they age, those with a family history of chronic disease, or professionals looking to optimize energy and performance. Ultimately, it’s for people who value ongoing physician access, comprehensive testing, and a collaborative partnership dedicated to maximizing their quality of life and lifespan.

  • Some patients use their health savings accounts to pay the annual fee.

  • No, Sean Cahill, MD does not accept insurance payments for our medical services. Instead, all our services are covered by our annual fee.

  • Yes! Your insurance will be billed directly for lab work not part of the annual visit, all vaccines administered in our office, and any screening or diagnostic testing done outside our office. You'll also need your insurance for specialist visits, emergency room visits, and hospitalizations.

  • A key part of our mission is to keep patients out of the emergency room and avoid unnecessary, often inefficient urgent care visits by providing timely and appropriate care. However, emergencies do happen. Our patients can receive emergency care at any facility covered by their insurance, and doctors will be available for consultation by phone with emergency care physicians. Emergency room care will be billed directly to your insurance.
